Des Moines state government give local business the recommendation of looking for down town office space

A rare piece of advice has been made the government of Des Moines, that they have also decided to take on board themselves.

The advice they have dished out is in regards to the oversupply that Downtown Des Moines has currently got. The other problem is that the office workers of the state government are working in outdated and inferior workplaces than you would expect.

Graham County board still not sure on where to get their office space

Commissioners met up in regards to getting a temporary Sheriff’s office, as the local community showed discontent at the move today.

Chairwoman Sandra Smith had to stop sections from the crowd trying to shout out about the indecision with the office space in Robbinsville, saying, “The public has no say whatsoever with what we do about county buildings.”

Building in Tyler becomes its first green office space

Plans were announced today to build Tyler’s first green dedicated office space building. It will offer 34,600 sq ft of Class A office space and also a data center.

The site is already prepared for what will be called the GenCore building, which will be based in the East Texas  area. The construction work should be started as early as next month, with completion expected in next September at the earliest. The development will also a LEED certification awarded.

A need was recognized for more Class A office space in Tyler by Phil Burks, who is the president of GenCore. He sought to expand one of his other companies Genesis, who are in the software sector, and he found the area lacking. He was presented with the opportunity to develop his own state-of-the-art building and wanted environmental friendliness to be top of its priorities.

Burks said, “I am no tree hugger, but I do believe in good stewardship of the environment.”

There are also plans to make the office as energy efficient. It will have a host of features such as LED light with natural daylight, a cistern that will recycle rainfall and a well system responsible for cooling all the meeting areas.

Office space fills up in Cool Springs

Cool Springs is welcoming new tenants at record levels since the recession, with Jackson National Life Insurance being the latest to come on board.

There is however, a small issue for Cool Springs. They are running out of office space to offer these companies.

Increasing boost in job market gives uplift in enquiries for office space

After a two-year lull, the office space market in Lease Manhattan office space to rentManhattan has shown some growth. This is thanks to the slew of new jobs available in the area, however these need to keep coming otherwise the office space market could see another fall.

Jones Lang Lasalle have seen Park Avenue-based landlord Seagram Building raised its rent three times this year already, with other midtown real-estate agents growing in confidence with their enquiries up.

PEDC attempts to entice tenants to Pearland, Texas

The Pearland Economic Development Corp. is offering cash incentives to companies that use Pearland office space, in an attempt to boost occupancy rates for the area.

Moody Rambin Interests is one such company that is leasing 80,000-square-foot of office space in Pearland and is receiving cash back for their decision.

All money comes from the PEDC, a city entity that is trying to attract more companies into the area as the city is so close to Texas Medical Center.

Studley relocate to Philadelphia after office prices fall

Studley, a tenant representative firm, has confirmed plans that they will relocate to 6,841-square-foot of office space at South 16th Street in PhiladelphiaPennsylvania.

The move to Downtown offices is part of a nine-year sublease deal with Unisys for a part of the 34th floor of one of their properties.

The decision to move comes after office prices fell in the area which made their current property more expensive than vacant buildings.
